Scott Smith is the former Vice President of Broadcasting at GotFrag. Smith managed the day-to-day operations of GotFrag TV, the video production extension of GotFrag. Smith is also the owner and manager of Team UGP, one of the oldest Counter-Strike clans still in existence.

Gaming History

Smith was a gamer from an early age. He started gaming on an Atari 2600, and also owned a TRS-80.

Fast-forward to 1999. Smith downloaded and played Counter-Strike the day Beta 1 was made available. Two days after Beta 1 was released, Smith was invited to join a new clan called UGP, and would later become the owner and manager. UGP is one of the oldest active clans in the world. Smith remains an avid gamer, and is heavily involved in the coverage of professional gaming.

Smith recently left the event planning and logistics industry to focus full time on the gaming industry. He is the current Vice President of Broadcasting at GotFrag.com.

Smith joined the GotFrag staff in 2005, and has held several high-level positions at the company. His time with GotFrag started in 2005 when he was asked by staffer Alex Garfield to join the GotFrag media department. Smith was quickly promoted by Jason "Anomaly" Bass to the position of Assistant Editor in Chief.[1] He was later promoted to Editor in Chief, and then VP of Broadcasting before leaving the company near the end of 2008. It is rumored that Smith, a resident of Phoenix, Arizona, did not want to move to the GotFrag Corporate Headquarters in New York City
