Ringer

A Ringer is a player who participates in a match with a team for which that player does not appear on the official roster. Most leagues enact official policies against using ringers during league matches, and the practice of using ringers is frowned upon, especially at higher levels of play.
The use of ringers is common during pickup games, and other non-league matches.
