History
On July 2002, the team Challenger got the sponsorship of a Lan Center named 'Arenajogos' and change the name to Arena. The line-up was Eduzin, Corassa, Akira (capitain), pred, Kalish & pennywise.
In the first tournament, Akira left the team, but we got the first award in X-Lan Cup, in Rio de Janeiro. With the same line-up, the team got the first place in LanGames Cup in Rio too.
The transformation of the clan started at that time, with the substitution of Kalish and pennywise by Luc4s & Skape.
With 3 months of practice the new line-up got some first places in local tournaments and got the autoberth to CPL Winter 2002, winning the qualify in Brasilia. At that time, the travel tickets to Dallas were not offered and the team got the sponsorship of DBA and fly to Dallas. Another change of the name to Arena.dba, Skape could not stay in the line-up because of his age. Hellmaster got his place and the 13th-16th position in CPL was a inedit position for a Latin American team. Gotfrag was placing Arena.dba in the top 10 list of the event.
On January 2003, Kiko come from São Paulo to Rio and join the team. At this time the team turn really to a professional level. We resolve to invest in a trade mark and create the label 'Made in Brazil - mibr'. Sometime later, skape and Luc4s left the team. At the same time Jonas "Bsl" Vikan and Banz join the team and we got some good results winning the first LatinCup in Peru and been reasonable in ESWC and CPL Summer. Bsl went back to his country, Banz left the team and Pava joined, initiating the classical mibr formation: Corassa, Eduzin, Kiko, Pava and Pred. This line-up introduce us to the community as a top team, with a good participation in WCG - and the historical mistake of the referees in the game against 3D - closing the year of 2003 with the 5th position at CPL Winter.
The begining of 2004 shows that mibr wants to consolidate the world top team position. In februery we receive SK.swe for a boot camp and some exibition matches in São Paulo.
After some bad results here in Brazil, taking 5th place at LatinCup 2004 Qualifier and 2nd at LatinCup 2004 in Peru, Cogu (ex-g3x) joins the team, adding his skills to mibr. Now with a roster of 6 players, we started to use the rotate map system, which each one of the players won´t play 1 map. This new roster and the new way of action give positive result in the next tournement, the ESWC qualifier, that mibr won without problems.
