GotFrag Writing Career

Baker is well known for his written commentary on Counter-Strike, which has in the past focused on major problems with leagues, organizations, rules, and teams. He has also written well-received pieces on in-game tactics and cheating. Baker's first GotFrag article, The Art of the Scrim, is one example of the many he has written for GotFrag. He is widely considered one of the industry's top analysts.

The MFA'VP Team

Despite his forays into other areas of the professional gaming industry, Baker is best known for his time with MFA'VP, where he served as Executive Producer from 2002-2005. MFA'VP is the video production extension of MFA, which stands for Missouri Fragging Association. MFA was formed by gamers from St. Louis, Missouri, such as CPL Global Tournament Director Mike Allen, Andy Arato, John "Gunner" Huebbe, and Mark "Prometheus" Huebbe. For more information on MFA, visit the wiki article.

The MFA'VP team popularized video coverage of professional gaming. Their coverage of CPL events has been hailed as revolutionary, and influenced modern day coverage of competitive LAN events. Baker was an integral part of the original MFA'VP team.

Cyberathlete Amateur League

From 2003-2004, Baker acted as the head of the Cyberathlete Amateur League's Anti-Cheat department for Counter-Strike. To date, Baker is widely regarded as one of the best admins to ever hold the position.

During his tenure as Head AC Admin, Baker overturned the controversial ban on pro CS player John "bigwie" Wie. Baker went on to clean-up the policies inside the department, which was itself overrun by cheaters and unethical admins; banning at least one other admin in the process. He instated the 3-Admin Rule - which required three admins to agree before a ban was implemented on a suspected cheater.

Though now retired, Baker is often approached by current admins and top-level players to review suspicious demos. Baker later wrote an article on How to Watch a Demo for Cheating.
