The FAMAS is a CT only weapon that was added in Counter-strikes 1.6 update. Because of its price being between that of the M4 and the MP5 it is commonly used on save rounds instead of the MP5. It is also bought when the rest of the the CT force is on "the buy" but a member cant afford a more expensive rifle. It has an alt fire mode allows it to shoot 3 shot bursts very accurately compared to its regaler fire mode.
